Sheet Metal Stool

I designed and fabricated a sculptural, three-legged stool that explores form, structure, and material contrast through folded sheet metal construction. The project focused on breaking away from conventional stool geometries by using sharp, angular planes and exposed fasteners to express strength and stability, paired with a solid hardwood seat for warmth and comfort. From early ideation and sketch exploration to full-scale prototyping, metal forming, riveting, and final assembly, this project emphasized hands-on fabrication, manufacturability, and the relationship between industrial materials and functional furniture design.
